All shout but non listen

I was just going through the daily digests: Digg, Delicious, Stumbleupon.
Why does it seem to me like everyone is shouting out of the top of their lungs but nobody cares to listen? I go page by page and try to contain this huge amount of text and images and I start itching all over. It is like those big, colorful book stores you walk into and can never go out again. You know, already before you go in, that you will never be able to read all those great books in there, so you read a line here, a paragraph there. You might even buy a whole book (!), just to place it with all the others you own – for a better dust distribution over the shelf.
This makes me sad.
